Default 92 isn't starting

I recently did a valve clearance and that went fine, and i replaced my old old spark plugs and whenever i started the car it would crank but it would not start, i figured it was my gas im not sure, but when the 6th time i started it, nearly 3 seconds in i hear a thump.

not sure whats going on? maybe some wires are disconnected?

Did you make sure every plug and wire is connected?

Yeah I made sure, but theres this hole that i have no idea what goes in, its right below the left bottom side of the valve cover.

update: intake blows out air every 4th crank and cranking sounds abnormal, my distributor is fine and timed correctly, and creates spark.

im hearing around that I need to retime the car or my valve is warped.

ideas?

the car was running before you did your valve adjustments? how did you adjust the valves? are you sure you have the firing order correct?

I did it correctly, .006-.007 on intake .007-.008 on exhaust. 1342 Yeah

Found out my friend turned the crankshaft to the right a notch. about |------------------| in length. It ran before i did the adjustment

Mine didn't start the other day. Turned out to be the ignitor.

Well how on earth are you going to stick to your story that your valves are done right if you're saying that the crank shaft wasn't positioned for one or more cylinders to be at TDC when you set your clearance? Which way was it turned and how far are you talking about? A few degrees? 15 degrees? I'm guessing you have a wide open valve that's causing your blow back and not allowing you to start. Could very well have been a valve slapping the piston when you say heard that thump. Don't guess here...take it back apart and double, triple, and quadruple check it to make sure it was done right.
