Hello everyone,

I am trying to install some sir headlights into my EG, but the only problem is that I know nothing about cars, let alone wires. When I pop open up the hood, it looks like removing the headlights already installed are easy which is just removing the bolts. Now, what to do about the wires? I know I have to do some wiring with the sir headlights and this is when I am completely lost. Do I just cut the wires and attach the wires together with those wire clips I can purchase at Autozone? I am providing some pictures cause I have absolutely no idea what to do. I know I could always pay someone to install it, but I would really like install them myself to be able to say, "I did that." Also, I am trying to install the city lights and all. I need a relay, I believe. I am sorry I am such a noob at this thing. I wish I got into cars a lot younger and took some auto classes

Anything will honestly help me! I did search for some DIYs but did not find anything helpful for someone of my level.













I am so bad at this. Which wires go to what?! haha. Any help much appreciated, even if it's a negative comment on how sad I can't even install something so simple. Thanks in advance guys!

 

The only thing you should have to wire yourself is the city lights, and I'm honestly not completely sure how to go about doing that. If you do it, make sure you take your time and do it right.

The headlights/corner lights should be 100% plug and play.

 

City light can be wired to the parking light. The wires can be found on the corner lens. There should be 3 wires. Connect to only two.

So, if I were to connect the wires of the city lights to the corner lights, I would just cut and connect the wires with one of these, correct?



Or do I use something else?

 

Personally, I'd stay away from those. Splice into the wires, using solder and heatshrink.

 

Black tape works too.
