Because it hasn't been made in almost 10 years.

Because it was expensive.

Because it didn't keep up with competitors in terms of styling & technology.

Because it was imported from Japan and immediate supply was lower.

Because it was mechanically and spiritually replaced with the modern Acura RSX and Honda S2000.

Because LOL is not a sentence.

RSX is just a newer Integra

CR-X was out of production longer

The 4th gen was ahead of the times IMO in its styling and technology

Iv alwaysss asked this question!!. My friend always says tegs are more popular and better.
I dont under stand. 4th gens ARE ahead of there time.
The 94+ cluster looks amazing.
It has a 190hp tourqe engine. (vtec version)
looks good.
But in my area you can get one for 3-4k in good condition.
gsrs are like 5-8k in good condition.
I dont understand?? Tegs arent even have the car of the prelude and dont even look good.

And how did it not keep up with styleing?? It had such a JDM look, integra does not look jdm at all, two stupid circle head lights.
My opinion best buy for the buck

I'll give you that on the 4th gen....I do like the body of the 5th but the interior took a step back to 1991. I still love my 5th gen though....

5th gen is great, I especially love the fact that they ONLY come with H22 engines, how ever many are auto =[, I love the back of the 97+ but love the mean jdm look of the front of the 92+ prelude, I saw a picture of a 97 lude with 92 front end, it was the sexiest thing in the world.

Never a prelude fan but not a hater. Isn't the balancing shaft kind of inefficient in the H22? The only interior I'm familiar with is the 92-96. Its a cool cockpit like design for a sporty car. Why I'm more of a fan of the Civic is its spartan interior and true sports compact classification. My Egs are economy cars w/ dual cam motors that were designed for power and speed w/o the slightest hint at luxury. Thats what I'm getting at, the Prelude was a much more upscale car for a more refined taste. I agree with the point that it was replaced soundly with the S2000 in branding.

any h22 has more bottom end torque than any stock b series ever thought about having. I've heard it called the big block of all dohc vtec 4 cyl engines<--- honda tuning.

No I know, Im more into rare cars, Im not a big fan a of gsr or whatever, Honda prelude vtecs are probably one of the most rare hondas. 300zx's.rx7's,mr2 turbos,3000gt's all those things, they are 20 years old but still cost the same as a 2 year old civic si lol.

The Prelude will never return. UNLESS our economy does a 180 and the demand for a two door Hybrid- 250whp sports coupe returns, I'll sell everything I own and my left nut for one.
