EJ1 tein springs on blown shocks
i bought a used ej1 with tein springs on it. the problem is the car is way lower than what the springs are supposed to allow for. either the springs were cut shorter, the shocks are blown beyond blown, or both. now my concern is this: correct me if i'm wrong, but bump stops are like rubber stoppers built into the shock to prevent bottoming out (to a certain extent) or damage to other suspension components. do the stock shocks from a 95 ej1 have bump stops? is there a chance that the frame is like sitting on the tie rod ends/lcas? i drove the car home and it was the worst ride of my life, i thought the shocks were going to come flying up through the hood with every bump i hit. i've already ordered 4 used oem shocks and springs to get this back to stock height, but just in case, how much damage could i be looking at?
How low is it?
My friend was rubbing his tie rods on the frame rail but he was on the ground. Almost tucking rim on 15's with 45's. Do you hear any loud bangs when hitting bumps?
