Default VTEC Adjustment

I am new to the tunning seen and I am driving an eg sedan with a b16 swap, how can the v-tech be adjusted to kick in earlier then 6000 rpm

by going to Setup > VTECH > Options > VTECH on above RPM______, VTECH off below RPM _______, VTECH on above load ______, VTECH off below load _____, VTECH on above speed ______, VTECH off below speed ______, VTECH on above TPS ______, VTECH off below TPS ______, VTECH fuel added ______, VTECH spark offset ______.

if you have aem....

VTEC is something that shouldn't be felt or heard. It should be a smooth crossover.

It's not supposed to feel like you dumped the clutch and downshifted.

Dont listen to this guy, vtec is the equivalent to a huge turbo @ about 8 psi. It should be extremely loud, should make your head fly back, and scare the **** out of everyone in the area.



No really dont think to **** with it, honda put the vtec crossover point on specific motors at a specific point for a specific reason.



To be specifically specific.

Most of the time you will lose power by brining down v-tec

should be 5800 on a b16...im guessing his tach is off a bit if it looks like 6000
