Default B18C1 GSR question regarding cams

I have a B18C1 GSR engine in my civic my question is I was thinking of doing cams. I was thinking of putting B18C5 Type R cams in. If I did this would I have to adjust the valves to whatever the specs are in a B18C5 for valve adjustment or just leave mine alone. Or what would be a worth while set of cams to throw in without upgrading valve train. I was thinking the Type R cams or maybe the Greddy easy cams could someone with some knowledge shed some light on this for me thanks.

If you get type r cams adjust the valves as if it were a type r head. But you should buy a set of itr intake side valve springs. and move your gsr intakes to the exhust side. type r exhaust springs are just gsr intakes. then you will be able to safely get about 500 more rpm out of it with out worrying about floating valves.

Your going from a factory cam to a factory cam in short. The only difference you will likely notice will only be in your mind. There probably won't be a feelable difference. You best bet is probably to source a mild aftermarket cam set. Just make sure you get the valve springs that go with them. Skunk2 tuner series for example with skunk2 tuner series valve springs. Or the like. Just make sure to have it tuned after you put new cams in. You probably already know that though. Good Luck
