will a 98 sedan grill fit on a hatch ?

As long as its a '96 - '98 hatch yet, it will be chrome though.

looked good with the emblem still chrome

 

All '96-'98 front end parts are interchangeable and able to be mixed up on any other '96-'98 front end.

All '99-'00 front end parts are interchangeable and able to be mixed up on any other '99-'00 front end.

'96-'98 parts won't fit with the '99-'00 front end parts or visa versa.

That goes for coupes, hatches and sedans.
