Thanks for the help! heres a couple quick pics. these are all i have for now but ill take some more later. It's kinda rough, the hood was already pinned when i got it cause the corners were broken, and it needs a new windshield. Besides that just some body rust. it runs good, has 225k.

do you mean the pins or something with the motor? sorry i am really new to these cars. as far as I know the motor is stock, it has a cold air intake, 4-2-1 header, and a home-made cat delete.

yeah dual point is the fuel injection system you have there, you should convert it over to mpfi better capabilties and youll make alot more horsepower also that d15 will respond better to bolt ons with mpfi, try looking at the si models from 88-91 that should help you out
Welcome to tech, this is a great site with lots of good people and tons of build threads that will make you want to spend every cent you have on your hatch. Trust me, I do. lol.
I'll be selling one of my MPFI set ups from my '91 civic SI being that for that car I'm doing the mini me swap with z6 mani etc. If you're interested let me know, it will be the entire mpfi manifold, injectors, fuel rail and whatever sensors I cant use on the Z6 (which I haven't figured out yet???)

thanks for the welcome. yeah i did a little reading last night looks like the MPFI is alot better like u said. I would like to restore it and build it up eventually, but im still in college right now so it'll be a daily driver for awhile till i can make some money lol. estewar03 let me know when u figure out your new setup and want to get rid of that MPFI, if it can bolt on to my b15 that would probly help it out quite a bit.
I did the DPFI to MPFI conversion in my '89 DX when I restored it a couple winters back.
Honestly, my MPG went down by about 3-5 MPG, and the "power" difference (if it could be called that), is minimal and hardly noticeable.
If I had to do it all over again, I'd stay DPFI
People on here act like it's a "must", but is it really? It will "respond better" to mods? What mods? A header or exhaust? As if a d15 with every bolt on imaginable will be even remotely quick.
My d15 is still slow as hell even with the MPFI and Si transmission.
I'm more interested in the gas mileage from my EF and in that respect I wish I'd stayed stock

yeah fuel mileage is definitely more important to me than power, especially at this point so it will remain as is for awhile no matter what. but its good to hear from both sides of the story on the DPFI vs MPFI

um dude it does respond better to bolt on because of the increased breathing capapbilties, the intake runners, the ports, and even the throttle body are all well bigger than the dual point, and also the mpfi better controls fuel/air mixture, resulting in guess what....more power, do some research before you jump down someones throat.
So, yes, sure, the MPFI swap "responds better" to mods. Great. Now you have, what, 90 wheel horsepower or something? Maybe 100 wheel horsepower from a D15 with ALL THE BOLT-ONS? Wooptydoo..
Look, all I'm saying is that personally it was a waste of time and I would not do it if I could go back in time and restore my car all over again. Frankly, I'm more interested in my EF as a nice little car that gets exceptional gas mileage, and the MPFI swap actually backfired to a certain degree on that front.
It's still hard to merge onto the highway even with my OMGFTehAw3som3 MPFI swap
Hahaha, loved this post had to jump in.
Btw eco89crx. Welcome. HT(Hondatech). HT is full of this. People I mean. Some mean good while others bag just because your not knowledgeable in whatever your talking about.
Needless to say, HT is a GREAT source for whatever you want to do to your setup. Just gotta give ya a word to the wise though my fellow EF'er. RESEARCH BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING! List pro's con's on setups you want to do. Also make a list of whatever your going to do to your car. And buy ALL the parts before you actually do anything to your car.
Trust me... You don't want your car sitting in the driveway for 3 months for you to get enough cash to buy all the necessary parts. Been there, done that, and it blows. And hey, get some de-greaser and power wash the buet. she wants some lov'n
So once again. WELCOME TO HONDA-TECH!!!

I'm not quite sure how or where you believe that my original post in this thread constituted as jumping down your throat. Also, assuming you can drive and as such should at least have some reading comprehension skills - you'll see that what I actually said is that even with the MPFI swap and all the bolt-ons the D15 is still slow as hell. I did not dispute that it "responds better" to mods.
