Spare me the flaming. I couldn't find a 'General Discussion' or 'Off-Topic' forum from the home page, and this seems to be the most popular forum on Honda-Tech so I figured I'd get my quickest answers here then be done with it.

When I use the search box above the forum title on any page within Honda-Tech, 70-80% of the results I get are in the classifieds or a for sale thread elsewhere. This is awesome when I need a used part, but I use forums for research. How do I easily filter out the classified forums from my search results?

I have tried the following:

1.) Using a search box within a sub-forum (i.e.- I tested in the "Acura Integra' sub-forum) still brings results from all technical and classified sub-forums.

2.) Using the 'Advanced Search' screen, I've noticed the selection box where you can pick which forums and/or sub-forums you wish to search. I just don't like having to go through and select each individual title.

I guess what I'm looking for is a 'Search Outside of Classifieds' option. Sorry if I over complicated this, I just wanted everyone to know exactly what I was asking and what I've already tried.

 

i use google, you can use it to search within a sight, works way better than H-T's built in search.
