so i just swapped out my old d15b2 for another one with less miles and also because i was not getting compression on one of the cylinders. so the problem is the engine came with an si transmission which is not the problem but I didn't check it out so when i started the car i suddenly got a kind of raddaling noise and relized the clutch was done straight slipping and the rear main seal has a leak my question is does anyone know what that raddiling noise might be it only does it when its in neutral.

Alright thanks would that have damaged the trans it self that means I need a new one I'm hoping it didn't only drove it around for like 20 minutes and then parked it hopefully I can fix it by Saturday does that mean I have to take it apart completely to replace it
If you are dumping oil from between the block and tranny, your input shaft bearing (ISB) probably came apart and took the input shaft seal (ISS) with it. I had this happen to me once and it also damaged the main shaft and the clutch bell housing. You won't know for sure until you open it up. if it is just the ISB and ISS that are damaged, they are relatively straight forward to replace. The oil leaking from the transmission could also have impregnated itself into the clutch disc and damaged it, causing the clutch to slip.
I will never recommend anyone buy a transmission without opening it up first. It takes 5 minutes, and can save you a real headache down the road. Take a tube of Permatex Ultra Grey (or Honda Bond) with you and offer to seal it back up if you don't want to buy it. If they won't let you open the case, do not buy it! Look for broken shift forks, noisy bearings, abnormal wear on gear teeth, abnormal wear on synchro teeth, large metal particles on the magnet, and check the synchro / gear clearances with a feeler gauge.

what if the main shaft and bell housing are damaged does that mean I need a new transmission. Ya I have that leak so its not the rear main seal that's out its the ISS.

also are the ISB and the ISS the same for both the Dx and si trans I was told that the trans on the engine is an si and I know there is no way to tell from the outside or is there can I get some help with this I want to have all the parts ready to go before I start taking the trans apart
If you don't have a transmission you can pull parts from, you may be better off getting another one. Again, I highly recommend opening it up before buying.
The thread that BiG ChOr!Zo posted is a good thread to help you identify what transmission you have.
