ok i have a 97 coupe has a d16y7. a week ago the clutch went out so i just replaced the clutch, pressure plate, throw out berring, pilot berring and clutch master cylinder. and two weeks before the clutch went out i replaced the slave cylinder. heres my problem the clutch wont disengage. when we pulled the tranny one of my friends put the clutch on while i changed the throwout berring so idk if he put it on backwards or what also while puttin the tranny back on the shaft in the slave cylinder came all the way out and i just put it back in now when i press the clutch pedal the slave cylinder makes a screechin noise. i have bled the lines a million times and it still dont work. about ready to give up really need some help what should i do

Pop it back open and have a look.
The only time this ever happened to me wasnt while i was doing a new clutch or anything..
Turned out I never put the splash shield back on the tranny when i put the engine in
Well needless to say it rained and The clutch rusted to the pressure plate.. I probably could have broke it loose by leaving it in 1st and starting the car but I didnt know what was up so i pulled the tranny.
there it was rusted together came apart really easy tho.

 

Try moving the fork with your hand. If it moves, your slave prob went bad again. If it didn't, either the TO bearing fell off during install or the clutch was probably installed with the plate backwards. You did use the supplied alignment tool correct?

Also check for leaks both on the master at the pedal side, the lines and the slave.

You did test the car with the wheels on the ground correct?
