i have an eg coupe with an ls swap and gsr trans. just recently put a brand new oem clutch and new slave cylinder. its gotten 180 miles on the clutch and now sometimes it would not go into gear. it was doing the same exact thing before i put the new clutch in, that was the reason why i changed it out. its been a week and now it is acting up i have checked fluids i have bled the slave everything is fine. no leaks or anything. the only thing that this problem can lead to is the lever that actuates the throw out bearing i dont know what it is called. can some one figure out the problem or if im right about that lever

 

What's the free play at the pedal? What happens when you try and shift?

 

there isnt any free play. im sorry to mention earlier that it wont go in gear while im slowing down. like if i was coming to a stop and the light turns green while im stopping it wont let me go into 2nd gear. i would have to come at a stop then put it in 1st. while driving it shifts fine. i want to say its the clutch fork since its so old and worn out that it popped off..an example i think its the fork is. if im on a slight incline, if i have it in 1st gear i wont roll back. but if i take it out of gear and off the break it rolls back.

 

I'm not sure what you are saying, but there should be about 1" of free play at the pedel. That could be your problem rather than the fork its self.
