hi lads

replying to post i put up two days ago
i have baught a honda civic saloon it has a h22b prelude engine in it it has all prelude running gear
the problem i have it is missing front passengers side drive shaft
any one with ideas on how to get a drive shaft for it or modify one

 

What do you mean by "left side drive"?

Are you talking about an axle?

I take it you mean a B20? What is your engine code?

 

I'm so lost with this post...

 

Judging by the wording the OP is using, he's probably from some part of Europe.

 

Im in to help...lets just get the correct words and terms in play and figure this out. Could he be talking about the F20 the older preludes came with?

 

Perhaps, I was thinking B20 from the '88 - '91 Prelude. Not sure why anyone would put one in a civic though.

 

Me either...im interested to see where this thread will go. Maybe if he put pics up we could investigate visually a bit better

 

I know the prelude B20A leans back 18 degrees so it can fit under the low hood. Not sure if that would cause problems fitting into a '92-'00 Civic though.

I don't want to go too far off topic before the OP can come back and clear up his first post.

the engine is running fine the passengers side front drive shaft is missing
the car has all honda preluide running gear eg, breaks break discs hubs etc
im finding it hard to get a drive shaft to fit

Wait, let me get this straight you're running Prelude knuckles in the front? I can't say i've ever heard of anyone doing that, and I was pretty sure they wouldn't bolt up. Its kind of important though since normally the axles are a combination of integra and prelude axles (prelude outer joints are too large for civic/integra hubs) in your case its going to be either prelude axles or something custom.

 

saloon? must be their version of the SI?

if its prelude it would have a bigger hub, do you know if your wheels are 4 x 1.14? or the regular 4 x 100?

 

Saloon just means sedan, its the term they use in Europe.
