I have been burning or losing oil for a while now. I took it to Honda only for them to tell me what I already knew. They couldn't figure out the problem. I just noticed this:



There appears to be oil leaking around the oil cap as seen in the pic above.



Those dark spots seem to be oil.


Sort of unrelated, but has me a little concerned. In the picture below, there is a dark spot on the engine. I wiped it with a towel and it looks like carbon. Any idea what it could be?



Any and all help is appreciated.

 

common sense would be get a new oil cap cause your seal on yours is gone, then degrease your engine and see what happens. if its leaking youll see where
