Seafoam question: 2001 Accord EX 4-cyl
i have a 2001 Accord EX 4-cyl with 150k miles on it and i wanted put seafoam through it.
I was going to buy 2 cans to put:
1. about 1/3 of a can in the vacuum hose of the brake booster pcv.
2. 1/2 can into the the crank case??
3. 1/2 can into the gas tank.
Is the crank case where you pour the motor oil?
And can anyone show me where the pcv line is?
And if anyone can add to what im planning, it would help greatly
At this point im just researching, so any info would help.
Thanks.

Yes you would pour it to where you add oil, and use the vacumm line that is on the power brake booster, and pour it slow, also do it somewhere well ventilated as it will smoke, after putting it in your vacumm line yourgoing towant to run the car a lil hard to stop it from smoking and then everything will be better
don't seafoam when the motor is running temp. have it warm but not hot, or it will diesel. also I don't pour the seafoam into the vacuum hose I let it get sucked up slowly from a bowl
The instructions are literally printed on the site of the can - just read them and you will be fine.
Tells you where and how much to allow the vehicle to take in.
thanks for the help guys. im going to do treatment right before my next oil change.
Another question. Which is better for the gas tank: seafoam or bg44k?
thanks.

Personally, I am not a fan of Seafoam in the gas tank - no real reason I suppose other than I never liked the thought of something other than gas going in it?
I would stick to the vacuum lines. You car honestly is not too bad - we did it just in the brake booster line on my friend's early 90's Thunderbird V8 though, that was quite the smoke show.
When I did my 97 Accord it barely put out any smoke whatsoever.
