EG Subframe on EJ6...
i have a 1999 civic lx.
i'm interested in:
- keeping my stock d16y7 LX non-vtec heart of fury
- utilizing a DC2 steering rack/pinion
now, i've read the thread about swapping pinions with an integra's, but i've also read that since the size is minutely off it will eventually fail, especially if you road race.
i've read that the eg civic 92-95 subframe swap is particularly common among K-swappers.
but i want to keep my stock motor and this swap hasn't been addressed explicitly... so forgive me if this is painfully obvious stuff... but what would i need to accomplish this subframe swap and steering rack install?

You will probably need an EG T-bracket and possibly an EG rear mount. Btw, if I were you i'd grab the subframe from a '94 - '01 Integra, its the same as '92 - '95 Civic but its got a nice stiffening bar that the civic doesn't have.
oh ok, i thought it was kind of odd that people have been saying use an eg frame w/a dc steering rack on an EK chassis. a dc subframe and steering rack bolts in, no problem?
I don't know for sure that it bolts up. But an EG and DC subframe are identical other than the stiffening bar on the DC. I'm running a DC subframe rack and complete P/S setup on my '93 Si.
