Default b18a1 bubbling

I just did a headgasket and it runs great and all but the radiator bubbles and makes a bubbleing sound when you turn the car off after a 20 min drive. Its not overheating but at stops it starts to heat up but not much still under half way..my fan isn't working right now (project mode lol). I didn't get the head milled because it checked out good with my diy flat edge and feeler gauge test. could the block be warped or any idea of what I might be looking at. As of now I'm thinking about tearing it all back apart but I though id get some opinions. Thanks

Could be air in the cooling system from incomplete purge, vs what seems your concern, HG.

Sounds like your coolant system is not properly sealed and keeping pressure.. I had this problem on my eg and i found out that my radiator cap wasnt sealing the coolant system properly.. I replaced it and it went away.

Sounds like a small HG leak, but make sure coolant system is completely purged.

Once purged, and your sure it is purged] if bubbles continue it is a good bet you have a small HG leak, either from a warped head, block deck or maybe just an improperly installed gasket.

Overheating when stopped with a non-working rad fan is normal.

I would drain and flush the system, put in new coolant, fire up the engine and then test the coolant for HCs, [hydrocarbon] and do a pressure test, it is less work then pulling the head again and it will give you an idea of what may be wrong. 94

How much coolant can you put in when it is all gone. Where is the green trail? If no leak and green trail and smell, then you should have a cloud following you.

I just fixed the same problem with my GSR. After all dancing around the hood, found all those gallons of coolant inside the car. So check under your mats if there is any fluid.
Also, if your oil is normal color and there is no smoke following you while driving, then its just leaking out somewhere. Check the hoses and stuff. Good luck!

How were they ending up in your car, that's crazy? And the funny thing is there's never a cloud of smoke. I just top it off drive a few miles like normal and then the thing starts to heat up, when I check its almost all gone and it sounds like there's a bubble machine going on inside the motor lol. I'm not 100% how much I can put in but id say 3/4 a yellow container of coolant/ water now. Well tommmorow is my Friday so I'm going to take a deeper lookinto it and ill update, thanks for the help!

One of the metal pipes going through the firewall was bent a little from the bottom. Even though it was the outer part of it, all the coolant was getting inside and dripping under the dash. I filled the radiator at least 3 or 4 times before i found the puddles under my mats
Anyways, thats a huge amount you're leaking somewhere. Can't be not noticeable if its not burning or leaking inside the car.
Waiting for the update tomorrow
