79 huh, something doesn't look right to me......80 maybe!

We need pic's of motor and a more detailed pic of that cluster.

Any plans?

I like the stance with those rims and tires.

Well its a 1979 honda civic cx 1500. And the best reference i have is if you look at the grand turismo 4 it show the same car as the one i have.. and i will post some pics up of the engine and guage cluster again.. As for mods i want to upgrade the suspension and brakes and maybe do a d16 turbo engine swap... But in the future of course..

According to that chassis plate, it's a 1980 1500 or 1500DX, depending on 4 speed or 5. It's definitely a second gen Civic and not a firest gen.

Thx for the new pic's!! That cluster is unusual. I like how the tach is in the middle .

I hope you didn't take my post the wrong way about the year.

I do like 2nd gens too! But I'm partial to the first gens. Unless you are talking about crx's

Cool car and have fun with it!!!!!!

It could actually be a 1979. In Japan, the second generation Civic started in 1979 with the first gen ending in 1978.

I think the cluster is wild, too. I had two 2nd gens and I don't remember the dash looking like that at all.

I have a feeling that that dash is not factory to the car. I think it is swapped in. Also, I can't find anywhere that Honda had a CX model prior to the late 90s. As cool as it is, it's also weird, lolol.
