I have someone who has almost all the parts I need, but the transmission (m2b4) has a slight "small" grind at 3rd gear on high revs.

I need help figuring out if this slight grind could be a bigger problem in the future? Is it something that could be taken care of by myself before the install? Or does it need to be taken to an expert, if so what are we looking at for cost of repair?

What would be a reasonable price to offer for the tranny and these parts below:

-Trans mount+ Bracket-side (aftermarket)
-Flywheel (have 2)
-Clutch Master Cylinder
-Clutch Slave Cylinder
-Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)
-Reverse Switch (on tranny)
-Hydraulic Clutch Line
-Clutch Pedal Assembly
-Brake Pedal Assembly
-Shifter Assembly
-Shift linkage
-5spd Intermediate shaft (half-shaft)
-Shifter **** & Boot

Also this is from a 94 Accord Ex with a h22a head - going in to a 99 Base Prelude. BTW from looking at some of the part numbers for that year and mine it doesn't look like some parts are interchangeable.

 

i'd say bout 800 is reasonable. i heard 3rd grind is a honda thing and 5th grind is a honda prelude thing

 

You guys think most of his parts will work in a 99 prelude base model?

 

I'm thinking only the transmission will fit, I haven't found any information that pertains to the pedals, reservoir, linkage, etc.

Anyone???
