2000 Accord EX-L Odometer problem
Hello everyone, first time to this forum and looking for an answer to a question I cant seem to get any responses to other places.
I have a 2000 Accord EX-L V-6. For some time now the Odometer display has been sporatically cutting in and out, like the pixels are only showing part of the mileage. If I push my finger on the display, it comes back, but as soon as I let off, it goes back to being all garbled. Is this a common problem? Anyone know what is involved in fixing this? In a car this age is it even worth it? Thought maybe if it was a bad connection and / or easily fixable I would do it, just looking for some feedback here. thanks! Mark

Possible problem with multiplex control unit located in the fuse box under driver's side dash. See link:

I have a 2002 Sedan EX-V6 with 125K miles with the same problem. The ODO is part of the entire guage cluster. I guess Im going to have to live with it. Not worth fixing it.
Problem is, I went to go trade it in, the dealer wont touch it because he says he has to wholesale it as "Uknown true mileage"... which is crap, because if you press on the gauge it comes back and works fine, but when you let off of it, it goes garbled. I have it listed privately to sell it and people really dont like not seeing the odometer display clearly... is the fix not cost effective? what is the fix for this? thanks.
Bump I have the same problem. The odometer is still keeping the correct mileage but intermittantly shows pixels. Sometimes it perfectly fine.
