there is a weird noise in my gead some people have told me i need to tighten up my valves but i dont noe and my car idle weird like gose from like 900rpms then up to like 1300rpm and when drivein when i stop it idles at like 2000rpms then i revv it a lil and it goes bak down to 900rpms soo i dont noe about that... and i jus found out i have a straight pipe and alot of black smoke is comein out like u cant see it unless i pik up speed alot but it gets all over the bak of my car seems like its runnin rich pleazzz help jus got the car good platform to start with first honda but been into this game for along time soo plezzz help anything jus post whatever u think will post a video if u guys can help me more pleazzzz help

But seriously, this is going to be really hard to diagnose over the internet. I would take it straight to a certified Honda/Acura mechanic. It sounds like you have more than one problem with all the noises,idling issues, and black smoke...Good luck!

ok well the idle problems went away last night. i put a qort of oil in last night cuz i check and i was very low. and this morning i drovbe my car a bit and it was idleing at like 90orpms it was nice. and from what i found out the lil bit of smoke when i take off its from my straight pipe. so anymore info would help plez do

 

i have a ? what if i put a b16 head on my gsr block???? would that be a good thing?????

BAR'd means is the engine match up with the car in other words if you do a engine change youmust bar the new engine to the car it involes takeing the car to CHP AND a smog check also running no cat in your car will make black smoke becouse your Oxygen sensor is reading bad and will tell the ECU WRONG which in turn is makeing your car run Rich

 

Also i would not run a B16 head on a gsr engine you will loose power One more thing is your Idle problame is most likely a vacume leak on you intake manifold to find a leak spray WD40 on the manifold while the car is running and if you see any bubbles theres your leak
