coupe and sedan difference in seat brackets?
im replacing my passenger side seat in my sedan with a 2 door model seat. i know they're alittle different but should i put my original seat bracket back on or will the coupe one work?
Incorrect, coupe and sedan rails are not the same.
DB7/8 rails are taller than DC2/4 rails due to the higher roof line of the sedan. As such, there is a bolt in the back of the front seats that is longer to clear the taller rails.
Your coupe seat will bolt in fine, but will be lower and you will need to replace one bolt that holds down the rail, as your sedan one will be too long.

It is true about the rear inner bracket being thicker on the sedans. However, you don't need a new bolt going from sedan to coupe. A longer bolt will not affect anything.
BlueIntegraBoy, won't the sedan bolt be too long for the coupe rail? Or does it screw in all the way anyway? I guess you could put a stack of washers on top of the rail if its too large though.
I know for sure that the coupe bolt in back won't hold the sedan rail on because I had that problem when I had a set of seats from a DB8 in my EG.

Yes, I also had the problem with a too short bolt when I used DB8 Recaro rails for my DC5 seats into my old EG.

The coupe and sedan Integras do have different rails. On the bottom there are the square rails, and welded to them are little feet with holes to bolt to the car. these pieces that are welded on, are taller on the sedans by about 11mm, or half an inch. This means if you have a sedan you can simply get coupe rails and lower your seats a little.
There also are fixed-height and adjustable-height variants of both the coupe and sedan seats. These have the ***** on the side of the seat. They twist to raise and lower the seat. However, at the bottom, they still sit higher than a coupe seat, so they really only go taller than the fixed-height seats.
The back cushions are also different between the coupe and sedan. The coupe seat backs have more prominent side bolsters, and the fabric is typically leather on the back opposed to cloth (where the two zippers are). As I checked models with lumbar support, the cushions have different sized holes for the lumbar lever. Coupes have a single hole in the cushion, while sedans have a 2x3" square hole missing in the side of the cushion for the little metal box welded to the frame.
The rear seat back cover also isn't quite the same, but can be forced to fit on a coupe seat back cushion, though it will likely have wrinkles.
