CRX HELP
I recently purchased a 89 crx si and starting a project. My biggest issue is the engine part. D16 build or do a b16 swap. The d series has high miles and is galming looking. I can get a complete swap for around 1700. Engine, tranny, ecu, harness. I have read many forums on the interweb but not really found out much information. So please anyone with any advice please let me know. Also when doing this swap (first project by myself by the way) all the forums I have read say "hasport" mounts correct or not. Get the long story short i want to push about 220 or so what if any advice is available, what would be the best route for me to go and YES to answer the ? I am going to boost. Do appreciate the advice and will put that advice to good use. One other thing, is there a site or link that someone could give me that has everything listed needed for the swap. Should I change pistons in the b16 for the turbo or can I run the turbo on stock internals with low (7) psi. Thanks Again for the advice.
to swap a b16 into your 89 crx you would need a mount kit

you can also check out www.hasport.com for more info as well

I have looked at automotive forums, honda tech, called local automotive shops and still have not really found useful information. But after posting this thread, I found a link that this guy does a complete turbo install step by step. And with the hasport mounts the only problem or shall I say situation is the rear mount. All the info that I have read, say you have to drop the engine into the bay, mark where the mount will sit, very carefully hold into postion while you weld the mount in. Also having trouble understanding the ecu complication. You all know that the car has obdo wiring and the b16 is obdo also, but i've read you have to get a wire harness adapter for the "knock sensor" and some v-tech things. Like I said in my first thread I am totally new to this and want to do it right the first time and not have to turn around and break the engine down to rebuild it due to something I misread. So please all the advice will be greatly appreciated. One other issue I am having is the turbo. As i have read, you can chip the ecu and not have to tune the engine (BS) is what I say about that. Is it possible to buy a programmer or would I have to have it professionally done. Keep in mind there is no tuning or dyno shops within 150 miles of where I live. Also when doing this swap the d16 axles will not work right, what axles do I need to get. Do I need to change spindles, (which I am going to anyway due to the time the car has sit)
