The instrument panel in my 01 civic ex will sporadically stop working. The car will still run OK, but all gauges and lights (in the cluster) will go off. After a while they will just pop back on. No error codes whatsoever.

At first it was maybe once a month. It is now becoming more frequent.

What are my suspects? instrument panel, ecu, etc?

Anyone else ever experience this?

Probably just a loose connection somewhere, but I wouldn't rule out failing electrical components.. The instrument panel (or possibly even the multiplex control unit) could be on it's way out.

Intermittent problems are such a PITA.
