edit: sorry to bring up an old thread, but i have 1 yellow recaro seat available for sale.

I initially had both seats sold under a payment plan, but the buyer could never give me the rest so I got the right seat back. This is perfect for a RHD car or if someone got the left rails you could throw these into a LHD car. I will have pics soon.
hi everyone, long time no honda-tech post. anyways, most of you probably dont know me... but i used to own a phoenix yellow EK with yellow jdm recaro sr-II seats. car got stolen, yada yada yada. police found my parts, stored them in their storage facility.

well 50 years later, a detective calls me back today and asks if i want my parts still. damn right i do! but i have no use for the seats anymore because i don't own a honda anymore.

since i've been gone from the honda scene for so long, i was wondering what the going rate for the yellow seats were these days?

 

wow if you have a set of yellow SRD's i am VERY interested in them....seems like condition is the biggest factor in pricing

stained, holes, dirty sets go for 650-850

clean sets for 750-900

mint sets for 900-1100

rare sets like yellow and blue in mint condition could be 1200

They fetch a pretty dollar these days. Last set I saw sold for upwards of $2,000.

What are you doing with the other parts?

Are you still in the scene at all?

 

Maybe for Reds, bur I have never seen a pair of yellow that low.

There's a set for sale in the for sale/wanted thread right now on page 2. Yellow ones seem to always go for a pretty penny.

 

these are in pretty good condition, i drove around with clear plastic over them LOL.

as for the scene, not really. i still work at mercedes wrenchin on cars... but as far as a hobby goes, nope.

For a second there I thought you knew the price of yellows and was trying to scam the guy out of his pair.

Yellows are probably THE RAREST OEM front seats made by ANY car company, save for those ridiculous 5-of half-a-million dollar exotics. So let me change that to say "THE RAREST OEM front seats from a PRODUCTION car." A beat up set with minimal damage/rips/holes could fetch for as much as a semi mint (sat in, but not crapped out) red SRDs.

 

There are fewer Canadian ITR reds. Yellow SRD's are rare, but not super rare. Just Expensive.

I really don't like them enough to pay $2k for a set. But they are hella RARE!

I'd rather have black JDM Recaros, they look great in USDM Type-R's.

You 1. didnt know the price of the yellow so you assumed they were the same as red or 2. were clearly trying to scam...

I would sell my soul for these yellow seats, so please, be fair.

 

BTW, if they are mint you can easily get over $2,500 without a problem. And, even though the economy is a bit bad, im pretty sure someone will jump at the opportunity to own such a beautiful pair of seats...good luck

There were the same number of fronts and rears made. 250 cars had both originally.

Even sure you can write them on HT for that money, you will just have to find someone who will pay that price. Not everyone has that money under his/her bed

I want 1400€ (I guess, about 1900-2000$) for a set, WILL send to North America and Europe.. but there is still not the response I thought - sure, a white ITR oder red will look ridiculous with them (so there are not many Hondas where they fit in colorwise, then you have to find the PY ITR oder PY EJ/EK driver who wants a set and want to pay THAT money for them). But at least, the seats will be sold for the price it cost me to get them .. otherwise I throw petrol over them, light them on and burn them down, throw the rest of them (while burning) down the coast into the sea, take a video of it, upload it at youtube and post the video link in here!

 

IMO, it would be easier to sell the yellow Recaros with the rear yellow-stitched seats. I personally haven't seen many for sale and I am wondering what happened to the rear seats with all these yellow Recaros for sale.

 

And then all the other sets will increase in value $10 you should save them, keep them nice. and in 10 years when every other set is crapped to hell (and the economy gets better), you can sell yours to a collector for $5000.

That's what im gunna do for my 2nd ITR when i can afford one; buy a PY, get yellow seats, yellow stitched rear seats, and yellow stitched shift boot. hey blue, would you mind painting another JDM **** with the same color scheme except instead of red for the 'R', yellow?

 

wow, i heard story you told in the video about your ek man i cant believe i met you on this form! what i really want to know how do save up money to get these rare parts and how long it took u to finsh up a project? it always seem that everybody i know never finsh up a project due to no money or get the car stolen or the motor is blown!
