pros/cons of bigger wheels
"Bigger" as in... how much "bigger"?
If you're looking to do a +1 setup (1" taller wheels than factory), you'll be looking at better cornering ability thanks to smaller sidewalls. You could go +2 to increase your performance slightly more, but 16" wheels (if you're coming from a '95 DX, +2 is a 16" wheel platform) have horrible tire options and you're looking at possible weight increases then as well.

Other pros and cons... The tire selection/availability may be better, or it may be worse. (Cooper is correct, performance depends primarily on the make/model of the tire, rather than the size.) If you get really really big wheels (like 18"), with very short sidewalls on the tires, they could be much more susceptible to damage from potholes.
I've also found that ride quality suffers as you move up an inch or two and the sidewall size decreases (less "cushion").
Also want to second the weight increase issue as well.... heavier wheels definitely zap a Honda's performance

One more con - tires can be more expensive with bigger wheels. It's not always true - sometimes 14" can cost more than 15", and 16" can cost more than 17" - but it's usually true when you get into really big wheels, especially 18" or larger.
