Default brakes keep going out

this is a problem i've had on my 92 civic cx since i bought it last july. i will have brakes just fine as long as i don't cut the wheels ALL the way. like today i was backing in my driveway to turn around and cut the wheels and the brakes went out and i hit my shed and knocked the doors off it. this been the first time i've actually hit anything due to this but it's been a nuisance since i have been driving the car. when it happens i can pump the brakes 2-3 times and get em back. heard from a couple people it could be my wheel bearings but i checked them and they are both good. any ideas on what could be causing this? much appreciated if anyone has any helpful info.

I would check your brake lines. Jack up the front of the car and take the wheels off. Then turn the wheel all the way one way and see if they are being pinched or constricted in any way.
