Default puttin on head gasket

ok well i recieved my head gasket and im gonna put it on. now i sprayed the pistons and walls and the top of the block with WD-40 and also put oil around it so it doesnt rust. should i wipe it clean before i put the head on, or just put the head on cuz the WD40 and oil doesnt matter?? my main concern is the WD-40??

is there anything special involved in puttin on a head gasket, like adding gasketmaker to anyplace or anthing, or i just line it up with dowel pins and put the head on

thanx

wipe the deck of the block and the surface of the head as clean as possible. there should be no oil, wd-40 or anything else on these surfaces. if it's a stock head gasket just put it on w/o any spray or gasketmaker or whatever.

its an aftermarket "cosmetic headgasket".. ok so i clean the surface, but oil and wd-40 being in the cylinders doesnt relal matter does it.
