I have a 92 2.3l honda prelude, when i start it in the morning it'll run like a champ for a about 5-10 minutes, after that whether im parked, idling, or accelerating the engine will chug? and i can feel it shake in the steering wheel. im not sure if thats the right word but im losing significant power, but it wont ever die, and the check engine light doesnt pop up when it happens. It will cut in and out, running normally sometimes and then chugging? shortly after, back and forth. If i baby the accelerator and play with it i can get it up to speed and the problem is hardly noticeable after 60 mph. Ive read numerous posts on dozens of sites on this matter but no ones symptoms quite match mine, and the answers are questionable, I would just like to know where I should start, since it only does it once it starts to warm up i figure that should narrow it down a little bit, but im no tech. any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated

 

The first inexpensive thing i would look at to replace is the fuel filter.

 

Could be a sticking valve.

Start simple, spark plugs, fuel filter, dizzy rotor, spark plug wires, etc.

Is it throwing a CEL?

 

That stuff helped my 91 ef run an extra 10k before i got a new car haha - sticking valve and bad rings
