Just boght a Integra, ECU is laying on the floor
I just picked up a fully loaded Integra with a LS vtec conversion and a bunch of other bolt on goodies, whoever did the work to the car did a very clean job for the most part, all the work was done nice and neat and nothing was hacked, but the only thing that really bothers me is the car has a p28 ecu and its just sitting on the floor of the passenger side of the car. I took a look at it quick and it does not look like it will fit where the factory ecu was mounted and if i put it under the carpet it still looks sloppy.
Is there anywhere I could put the ecu so it is out of the way?
I apologize in advance if this is a common question or something that has a easy solution. I tried searching and couldn't come up with anything and I drive a diesel truck, I don't really know much of anything about hondas.

I have an obd1 p28 in my 1998 Gsr and It bolted in where the obd2 p72 ecu did. it was just a really tight fit trying to get the obd2 to obd1 conversion harness to fit as well. I only put in 3 bolts to hold the ecu in and i didnt put the protective plate that goes over the ecu back on. But i did manage to get it to fit. Just dont kick the plastic trim panel that covers the ecu very hard. I've had it like that for around 3-4 months and no problems yet. good luck with the new toy.
My eg hatch with a P28 is the same way, It just sit's on the passenger floor since it was like that when I got teh car, I jsut havent messes around with trying to get it to mount where the stock ecu was
If you want a nice car, mount the ECU where it should be as it will fit. If you want a ghetto POS, then leave your ECU in the floor board. It is a bitch to mount correctly, but the wiring/plugs should be at the bottom as I do recall and it helps if you have the factory harness thing that causes all the wires to lay flat rather then being bunched up.
Just keep it out and use it as a extra theft deterent.
Take it with you when you aint driving.
If not it will fit right in the stock spot. Plug point down and the flat plastic cover runs the wires flush with the ecu. Much easier if you plug it in then put it in place
