Default d15b7 block in 91 EF?

Hey everybody,

I bought my EF sedan a few months ago and have had a great time with the car and learning all about civics. Since then I've put on about 5000km, rolled over 400 000km, and blew the head gasket on the highway.

Anyways, when I was replacing it I cleaned off some grime on the block and uncovered a stamp that read d15b7. After a bit of reading, (and correct me if I'm wrong) I think that this car has had the block swapped out. I say block and not the whole engine, because I have dual point injection, which I thought only came on d15b2's/EF's. I guess what I'm asking is if this has been swapped in for certain? IE, did d15b7's ever come in EF's? And did the guy who did it opt to keep/put in dual point for some reason, or did 7's ever come with dual point? Thanks a lot!

it's most likely a complete b7 longblock with the intake manifold/accesories from a b2. people commonly do this when there b1/b2 blows. it's easier to find a good running b7 than a b1/b2 and then they just switch over the dpfi components. and no b7's never came in ed/ef's. only 92-95 received the b7.

Okay, thanks. I guess I have no idea what my engines mileage is now, haha.
