Default Attention former ITR owners from so cal

New pictures on page 2

Ok so i picked up a salvaged 01 py itr. reading 72k on the cluster. Jdm itr Recaro, Jdm itr rear seats, dc header, full exhaust, intake, lowered on tanabe coilovers, etc. so after looking threw the interior, i come to realize that im missing a bunch of the cf goodies. only got the climate control and drivers vent. center console looks like its from a gsr, and the arm rest doesnt have a number on it so its just a replacement. so my guess is that the interior has been stripped which would explain the recaros and the jdm rear seats. it also has a morosso oil pan, tapped for boost so im thinking the previous owner was turbo'ed for some time. I got the car from a san diego insurance auction. I know this is a long shot, but maybe the previous owner is still on honda-tech. i have so much questions lol let me know if she looks familiar

VIN : JH4DC23171S002678

unfortunately she doesn't have a badge number, its just a blank. Car was definitely boosted, has a greddy turbo timer (duh). took it for a spin today, doesn't run quite right, since it has been standing for 6 months. Was dispatched to iaai San Diego on march 30th. thats about as far as i know on previous history

if anyone wants to see the vid (i dont think its the same car):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myO_i6-IPR0

at least the chav reporter called it an 'Acura' and not 'Honda'. "but i thought it had red honda badges?" and because an APEXI vtec switch turns it from a street car into a non-street legal race car? HAHAHA! catch a gander at some 2.3L stroker EVOs before you call an ITR with a no name ebay intake + vtec switch street-illegal.

In regards to the VAFC the reporter points out.

"All the driver has to do is push these buttons and on these gauges it'll turn it from a regular car into a street racing mobile making it very dangerous for the driver and the rest of us."

LOL

LOL
[Insert Transformers reference] someone needs to make a meme: guy pushes button and his car sprouts wings, a v8, no exhaust, gutted interior, drag slicks, and obligatory HID lights lawl

no...no way to tell...just where the car was titled...emission history...some service history......maybe records of dealer work or a bodyshop it was taken to...maybe you can figgure out more info there...

PM doespike...he can figgure out what badge the car is..even tho it may be hard for 00-01....or if any documented history by owners thru the itr forums

As stated, PM Doespike. He is your best bet for finding the badge, previous owner, and any history on it.

Not too bad for an insurance acution caR. It's about as complete as you'll find one. Good luck with the restore/build.

i already talked to him about it. he said that it was the last the batch of the 01 py itrs to come off the assembly line. his best guess would be that it was in the 760 or 770s. ya dude definently a great pickup. all i did was replace lower ball joint and drivers side axle. also gonna need a new drivers fender and then prep it for a new paint job

im sorry to thread jack, but in regards to that stupid video, those guys dont have a damn clue what they are talking about....

and im glad that california traffic division can donate 600,000 to stop street racing, instead they should open a few tracks, qualcomm is okay but it sucks 1/8 mile, same thing as barona, except barona is very well prepped but still 1/8 mile.

there used to be carlsbad raceway that has been around since the 70's but they closed that down in 2003 or some crap and they wonder why theres soo many street racers, um duh stop closing tracks, in my area there is no track to race at except cali speedway which is never open ...

again sorry to thread jack

opening tracks wouldnt really help. most "racers" in cali hardpark and if put on a track and told to do laps, theyd be flatspotting their tires on every turn because they think their car with -10 camber, double deck wing, super JDM aero kit, and 20" rims can take a hairpin at 80.

thats not what kind of track im talking about... but i see your point..

i cant really talk too much because i used to have a 1993 civic hatch with a itr swap and lots of mods, and i used to take its street racing and make money doing it... i dont do it anymore, hell i dont even own a honda anymore but i used to it illegal or not, i couldnt find work and i needed money and i dont steal peoples ****...

back on topic im sorry
