what would be the purpose of using an ecu that wasn't meant to be used on your car/engine in the first place?

Thats the question you should be asking!

i have my stock ecu in my ep3 but have an K20A2 swap (until i get my ef on the road so i can send it off for KPRO[paid for]) and it runs really rough when first cranked and the ecu doesnt give the proper amount of fuel required if that is any help.

i have driving it for almost a year now with no damage?? and i am bout to send it off for kpro anyways and then again i am rebuiding THE ENTIRE SETUP either way so whats it matter if i have to replace valves??? i know its ****ed up but at the time i didnt have the money to fix the issue..... i hydrolocked my a3 and just dropped it in to get me by...... so in turn yes its a little ignorant to continue to drive as such, but i have no other choice i have to work??? and in two weeks time it will be off the road and i will be driving the EF
