Suspension is too stiff
I replaced the tires on the rims, I was rolling on 205/40/17 and I know some people might say that they are ricer...no performance... blah blah blah. anyways i was doing okay but the tires were too small and were failing on bumps, or holes on the street so the tire shop guy recommend me use the falken 215/45/17 I tought at first they were too big, but when I tried them on my car they looked okay an they didnt rubber or anything. However now after 2 months, the suspension is too stiff. I mean when I go on the highway like at 50+mph and there is a little hole on street it feels so hard the hit. it feels like if im rolling on just the rims and not the tires, shouldnt this be backwards? my shocks are going out? what could it be. by the way I have 1995 ex coupe. d16z6 if that helps ijn any way

I would start by checking the shocks for any oil leaking around the piston and shock body area. Also give your whole front end a shakedown by checking ball joints, tie rods, etc. I'm willing to bet something is failing in the suspension area. If everything is original, that's a lot of years and miles!

Just based on the tire size change, you have a slightly wider tire, and slight increase in height percent, so the tire should be more of a cushion. Of course it also depends on sidewall stiffness. All said, suspension seems more likely as noted above.
Whatever you do dont use a 45 series tire on a 17" rim. The tire will be way too tall. Bad bushings, ball joints, and shocks can all contribute to a bad ride. If your going to be replacing the shocks you may want to look into a set of lowering springs as well. Tokico, KYB, and Skunk2 shocks are good for the price. Tein, Eibach, H&R, and Skunk2 springs are also great for their cost.
