94-99 Accord
I'm looking for my second car, I need something reliable, decently quick, and certainly not trashed or ugly. So my first thought was Honda, and I'm looking to spend around 2500 on craigslist and get an Accord.
But I'm having an issue deciding on what Honda to get. One group of friends says stay away from mods and ricer looking Hondas because "they're trashed" Another group of friends says stay away from Hondas in general and buy old because classics are always better and are made better. So I'm completely lost as to whats good and don't even know where to start looking.
Can anyone offer me some advice?

Modded and ricey cars are in many cases, cars that are abused, because the owner likes that "fast and furious" kind of thing, but not always.
Old cars were built strong, but hondas, have always been built strong, so they are reliable, and that's why they hold the value over the years.
I'd say stay away from people who know very little about cars, and most importantly, bring someone who actually knows about cars with you when you go take a look at a car that you find interesting.

I have a 95 accord ex. bought it Dec. 26 2002. been great so far minor things like gasket changes. but my car has 208,000 miles on it and believe it or not I have proof of it too, I am still using the stock timing belt. I bought another one just in case it busts one day. Its your choice what you want to get but I have always owned honda and will always buy a honda after these. Chances are the people that are telling you not to buy a honda are dometic people. which have had more issues that any other car really through the years.
