Default Tonio's 1988 Civic LX

Hello people of H-T!
I have purchased this 88 LX from one of my buddies. My plans are to daily drive it and hopefully put a swap and a few other goodies on it.
This is more or less a place to document the car's progress. I will hopefully do a couple of write-ups on what I do and give back to the H-T community where I have learned so much.
Here is what I'm working with:

The way you see it is the way I got it.

Plans are:
-Swap a B20VTEC with hydro trans, A/C and P/S.
-Install an AP1 S2000 cluster
-Convert to OBD1
-JDM front end (Possibly convert to RHD)
-Full one piece coilover suspension
-Nice set of overpriced JDM wheels
-Full 3" stainless exhaust
-5-Lug
And more things as I go along.
I got a few things coming in the mail already.
Check later for updates.

well it looks like a clean slate to start out on, no body work ftw! are you sure you want to drop that expensive of a motor into an ef? it would make excellent power and be a fun car im sure but youll never get out of it what you put into it (if thats your plan). but i like where youre going with your plans and hopefully you can fulfill them all. good luck with your build sir.

Excellent point in regards of the RHD.
The B20VTEC is coming out of my CRX. The motor made 238whp and 162ftlbs all motor. It's currently turbocharged. It's going back to all motor and then into the Civic. I should start getting that done this weekend. I got my speedo healer today. Pictures later this week.

I'm installing this tomorrow.

Once I get it done, I'll post a write up for an 88 sedan.

did you get the unit from modifry in order to make the engine coolant temp function properly? and what did you end up using to make the speed read properly? i know something has to be done to the vss signal but i can't recall exactly what.

It took a while to get me ECT module shipped. It's on its way over now. i should have it fully functional next weekend.

I finally got some time to get some stuff done.
I pulled the motor out today out of the CRX.

I'm putting this motor on the 4DR over the weekend. Still trying to decide what header and intake combination to start with. Either the ported Victor X or a set of Jenvey ITB's... and a RMF narrow headder or a SMSP copy. Also finally finish the write up for the S200 cluster. Wish me luck!
