Default 98 crv not starting

i recently bought a 98 crv, got it real cheap! it will turn over, but wont start. it isnt getting any spark. i replaced the dizzy, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and ignition switch, but still nothing. also, i already checked all the fuses. any help will be greatly appreciated!

oh yeah, the person i bought it from was very good with routine maintainance. she was driving it down the road, and it just died.

check your fuel pump and main relay. you will prolly have to take the back seat out and put your ear up against the gas tank access and have someone turn the key to the II position to hear if it is priming. also make sure the fuel filter is good. and get a manual to get the prosedure for testing a main relay as they cost about $150 at the dealer. test these things and then if those arent to blame then let us know. those are the usual culprits if you have spark and you changed you dizzy. also your dizzy should come with a new cap and rotor.

Make sure the distributor is actually turning. It could be a broken timing belt.

Yeah, the dizzy is turning. At first I just replaced the coil, and ignition module in the dizzy, then when it still wasn't getting a spark I replaced the whole thing. I can hear the fuel pump priming, and I have pressure at the rail. I know the timing belt is good, it's only got about 25000 miles on it. And like I said, the dizzy is turning, so the belt is good. Any more suggestions?

Aha, the t-belt was replaced. That gives me an idea. Check the crank sensor wire. The wire may not have been secured after the timing belt change and has been rubbed in two by the alternator belt.

Ok. I'll check that out. Would that make it not spark though??

I have to agree check the crank sensor, if it's damaged or not, and check and make sure all the grounds are hooked up

All grounds are hooked up, I will check the crank sensor as soon as I get it to my house. But I thought the crank position sensor told the injectors when to work, that it is fuel and not ignition?

crank sensor just tells the ecu where the crank is so it can check for mis-fires. even disconnected it should turn over, just have a CEL.

do you get any spark out of any cylinder?
