2009 Civic Driver Door Stuck
Hi all...
So there's an issue with my 2009 civic 4 dr. For some reason, the driver side is stuck. It cannot be opened AT ALL. The exterior panel is hitting the driver side fender for some reason. Literally 2 minutes prior to the issue, I was able to open my door normally. Got inside...drove it. When i got to my destination, I was not able to get out. The dealership is trying to say that I could have ran over something. But if i did, it would take something big with a brute force to have an affect this big. On top of that, it would definitely have left a mark on my car....but there's none.
A week prior to the occurrence of this issue, the car was taken in for an oil change. Then they said they were going to tighten the window because it was loose (they didn't charge me for this service btw). I know the job only requires taking the door interior panel off, but they might have done something to cause this. Who knows?.....
All i know is, my door will not open because it is hitting my front driver fender. The car was never involved in any accidents or any type of vandalization. No one's leaned on the car to cause the fender to be pushed in...
Anyone else have ever encountered this problem with their civic?

Maybe someone had loosened the door's bolts holding it to the car for some reason. Then from opening/closing it slid forward to a point there it cannot clear the fender? Can you look down between the fender/door and see the latches moved?
The only time I ever saw something like that was after body damage the fender is pushed back binding on the fender when your trying to open the door.
I wouldn't open it if I were you let a body man do it to minimize the damage, because something is going to bend just to get a look at where the problem is.
I have done it using a putty knife coated with duck tape, but you need to know just what your doing to minimize paint damage.
