I recently had a problem with my 1.8 ltr eng. new civic of only 2 months and almost 4000km. It started rough one morning and on the commute to work on highway 401 in Toronto, I could not get past 103 km (could go slower but not faster than this speed). It was as if the car was governed at this speed for some time. The cruise control was not on and it did this all the way to work and then back home for a total distance of about 100 Km. I took the car in to the dealership; after keeping it for about 1.5 days, the mechanics claim there was nothing wrong with the car but they did upgrade the software. This has not happened since but I believe they bullshitted me and somehow the car's ecu governed the car at 103 Km due to some electrical glitch. Anyone ever experience anything similar?
