You put the rear springs on the front, per chance?

Its pretty hard to mix the springs up,the fronts are the larger diameter and the rears are the smaller.

How much do your eibach springs say they are supposed to lower the car?

did you load the suspension before tightening the nuts and bolts? if you don't load the suspension first, you'll stress the bushings and the car will also sit higher...

hmm you know what? my brother and i took a look at it. the lowering springs were already put onto the stock rsx shock strut, so we just installed it in the way it was so im not really sure whats up with the height. it rides really stiff as if i had coilovers. it sucks whenever im going over light bumps but taking corners is fine. im not flying through corners or anything but i mean, i can definetly tell a difference because its pretty stiff.

i dont know much about the em2 suspensions with the rsx stuff, but do you know if my neuspeed springs would fit onto the RSX stock shocks/struts?

well stock dc5 spring rates are stronger than stock em2 spring rates, so it could be that they arent soft enough to even out the ride height as before, but it should be noticeable at all.

i'm not talking about spring preload...

what i meant is that you need to put a load on the entire suspension so that all the control arms are at their resting angle before the nuts/bolts are tightened. also, is it really that stiff or is it just bouncy? there's a difference

as for stiffness, DC5 stock suspension is approx twice as stiff as stock civic suspension.

rsx springs on em2 sit higher because the car is lighter... eibach springs are only a 1" drop, so thats your problem, get lower springs.

thanks for the info. the conversion came off a wrecked base model rsx. the top of the struts were not straight, it was a little bent but we got it to fit properly. and i didnt like the way it sat so at the moment, i am using the stock civic struts and shocks from the em2. i know the two bolts holding the brake to the shock is a different size but it still holds.

its probably dangerous but it rides fine since im not driving like an idiot. its just temporary. but thanks for all the help.

I ran my 01 shocks on rsx knuckles with bigger holes for well over a year with no problems.
