What is this thing called ???? (Clutch kit)
No, the throwout bearing is the large bearing with the forks. It's what attaches to the clutch fork operated by the slave cylinder.

I got the Exedy Stage 1 for my h22a4 and it included that bearing (haven't installed the kit yet). I'm guessing it's what Honda refers to as the "clutch release bearing" which I had assumed was the throwout bearing.
You were correct in your former assumption - the part that Honda refers to as the clutch release bearing is the same part that most people refer to as a "throw-out bearing."
Yes, that is the "throwout bearing" or whatever name you want to give it. It attaches to the fork operated by the slave cylinder inside the transmission. If your doing the installation yourself make sure you put the bearing on right or you will have to pull the transmission back to fix it. Its always good to put a fresh one in there especially if your installing a new clutch..hmm prob why it comes with it.
thats the "throw-out bearing" for sure. i would recommend getting one from honda tho because most of the times the ones that come with the clutch kits are cheap.
Pretty sure it is as well. Look at the "tongues" on the side of it; they wrap around the shift fork (indicating it's a throwout bearing). Here's the part from Majestic for a Prelude (#1 in the picture)...

Looks awfully similar to me.

Guess what comes in that bag that you'll be buying at the Honda dealership?
The exact same NTN pilot bearing - except you'll be paying more for it because the bag has a "HONDA" label.
Though a bushing and bearing are different, they serve the same purpose in this application. Parts catalog interchangeable term (however incorrect).
