like which year of prelude came with that head...etc.

 

why don't you just rebuild the one you have or simply buy one and rebuild it the way you'd like it to be, that way you'll have the gains that you're looking for.

 

h22a obd1 closed deck is the strongest.

 

^ that has to do with the block, the head is not open or closed.

OP, JDM Type-S (97-01) would be the top as it was hand polished from the factory (ported too possibly?). Euro-R should also qualify as well for the same reason from what I've heard. Next-best option IMO would be a '99+ a4 head as they have the newer spring-style LMA's.
