Hello everyone, I am new to Honda Tech, but i need some serious help, I was driving my car last week and as i was driving I noticed the trans was starting to slip (auto trans) and then after like 5 or 10 mins i lost all gears. I would shut the car down and start it back up and i would have all gears again for like 5 mins again and then lose them again and so on.... When i start the car my park light on my cluster is on but also the d4 light comes on and then shuts off, no blinking or staying on. So i thought i was the TCU, because i know these cars are known for that... I replaced the TCU and still having the same problems.... Can anyone tell me if it might be the trans control solenoids, i hear alot of ppl saying that may be the problem but, i dont know where they are located how to change them or how many there is to change? Can someone help me please???

Had to the same problem with a customers car. Ended up being the torque converter. Didn't throw any cek or anything. Would drive fine for about 15mins till everything warmed up then wouldn't catch gears or anything, turned off for a few mins then would drive very little again. Change out the converter and problems gones now.
