Just been searching for some new floor mats as mine have gotten dirty over the years. I found a place that sells the all black 2001 floor mats for $117. Should I pick these up or should I wait and see what else I can find? Not sure how hard it is to find floor mats these days for our R's.

I will post up the link if anyone else is interested if I can find it again. Its saved on my other computer.

If you want to spend a little more money, pick up EDM floor mats. I have them in my R and IMO they are the best looking OEM R mats. I've had mine for almost two years and they're durable.

yeah those look really nice. i wanted to get the weather tech ones that have lips on them but they dont make them for our cars = (. i have those in my civic and they are great

 

would it be cheaper to restore them?

mine are dirty as hell even after vacuuming and a lot of steam cleaning, theres still some imperfection and some fade. i don't want to buy new carpets either

 

There really no way to restore aging really. You best bet is to probably save up. All of the getting in and out of your car and your heels on the carpet are going to wear it down to where it is unrepairable. The only thing I can think of if you are really really on a budget is take them to a upholster and have them dye your carpet black. If you have checkered rear mats then I have no idea

Wouldn't EDM matts be for LHD cars? LHD matts in RHD cars is corny.

 

EDM = Germany/Belgium/Switzerland etc
UKDM = well, yeah.

 

Imo the jdm ones are better looking. The design + colour of material makes the floor mat always look cleaner compared to the fully black ones.

The full black ones will instantly leave foot prints on first use or after being cleaned.

Just the down side that you guys cant use it hence RHD/LHD issues. =[

Do the EDM mats have any stitched emblems on the passenger side mat, or is it just on the drivers side?

 

Only the driver mat has the Integra Type-R. All other mats are plain black with a subtle red stitching around the mat.
