Default Brake Threads?

Hey everyone. I'm in the middle of doing what should be a VERY EASY brake upgrade but I think I may have an issue with mis-matched threads.

Civic/Integra male brake fittings are all 10mmx1.0, correct?

I'm replacing my flex lines with Russell Stainless Steel lines (http://thmotorsports.com/russell/rus...684860-03-1998)

Do I need an adapter between the stock, OEM, male brake line fittings and the aftermarket stainless steel braided lines?

I think I need a male 10mmx1.0 to a male -3AN adapter. Can anyone confirm or provide a link that has a ton of detailed information on the brake line threads and what it all means?

Thanks in advance.

Are you talking banjo bolt? It has been years, but I thought that reused the stock bolt from my old lines with a new crush washer.

No, my problem is that the OEM tube nut on the hard line doesn't seat in the new aftermarket flex lines. So, the opposite end of the flex lines from the banjo bolt.

My question is that I'm not sure if the threads on the OEM tube nut are the same as what's on the Russell line. This is really pissing me off because I bought the lines for the vehicle that I got my disc brake upgrade from and it's all supposed to be "direct bolt-ons."

Maybe my threads are dirty/rusty on the OEM tube nuts and I just need to run them through a thread die to clean them up but I don't know what die to purchase.

But, then I read write ups like the one in the link below and everything is plug-n-play.

I'm guessing my threads are f***'d and I just need to clean them up...

Ok, I reused stock like in the article. I have an Integra, but probably the same size.

As long as they were for the vehicle they should match up just right. I had some issue there as well those brake lines don't want to line up right so just give them a good cleaning and screw them in but do not cross thread that would suck *****.
