Default drilling the manifold

ok so i have a 89 hatch mpfi swapped, and i have a y8 manifold. can i drill a place for the intake air temp sensor or what should i do about it there isnt a place in the mainfold for it, and also i noticed the manifold blocks off some of the idle ports, so will i have an idling problem to...any posts will help

idle ports?? liike for vacuum lines? just tee into what you have. also on the obd2 y8 the iat sensor goes in the intake tube. not the mani so thats why its not there. you could just use that obd2 sensor and extend the wires and use it in your intake. just drill a hole. easier than drilling your mani

x2 i appreciate the help but i mean the idle ports in the tb there getting blocked by the manifold or thats what it looks like and im not sure if it will even idle

define idle ports...the hose connections on the bottom??

no the holes drilled into the throttle body so it will idle...

still have nooo idea what you mean...theres 2 places for vacuum lines to attatch. i dont understand your idle holes

just put a hole in your intake tube and stick it in there, just like the y8s have them; problem solved

ok so i re-extended the wires for that so it should be able to go most anywhere in the intake pipe, but i really dont think this thing is going to run w/o a vaccum leak or something

not if u seal it properly. use some jb weld or just drill the hole so that its almost percise with the unit, then seal with some gasket maker if u want

i gotcha...the open ares in the TB your talking about. the mani blocks them?? it shouldnt..what TB do you have?

i have a del sol tb only one worth the crap in the junkyard and si's are gold around here if any yard has one its stripped quick
