Overheating only when i accelerate?!?
I have a 1994 honda civic with the D16z6 vtec engine and it is overheating(75% temp gauge) when i accel, and only then. temp is as normal during driving easy and idle. Revving while stopped exibits a rpm intermittent drop from 4.5-3K as I'm holding the throttle steady, after a second, it returns to 4.5K, never having changed throttle position. Fans working fine, coolant, rad and hoses all new. no water in oil, or oil in water, no smoke or smell.
ahh no..
Start engine..
turn on heat at full blast
open cap and watch to see bubbles
add coolant when it gets low
squeeze hoses to help get the air to the top
rev engine a little to move the air in the system..
When u see no more bubbles and the coolant is staying at the top, your done..

Bleeding the cooling system:
1) Park the car on an inclined driveway with the front end higher than the rear.
2) Push the dash heater lever/**** to MAX heat.
3) Follow the directions in the diagram below (hint: the bleed bolt is located where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine):
