Default Crx Si Fix ups

i want to do several things to my new Si but on a very small budget. So far all I added was a Rocksford Fosgate Stereo. I am going to add an extra pair of speakers and will need help installing it because i already have 2 installed and dont know how to wire up a 3rd set. Do some small repairs cause its somewhat nasty. Add some switches, do a cargo delete. Add Wheel spacers in the back (maybe). Put coilovers which i already have. Later on maybe next year paint the car same color. Add Foglights and I also want to get a swap since its all stock.
any ideas on how much a b18 engine with a gsr tranny would run me? i also want to do a small rollcage but i have no idea on where to get the parts or to where to get it done. Any ideas on what else i should do? And lastly how do i fix rust? i have rust on the sunroof thing the size of a quarter. I'll post pics as I go

well, the price on a b18 will be dictated by the condition of the engine. that goes the same for the tranny. if you're going to add some extra speakers, i suggest some tweeters and you can custom fabricate your own housing or buy some ebay ones.

you could put a roll cage but i wouldnt recommend investing in it if youre planning to run the car as a daily.

as for the rust, it will be best to look for a cheap body shop than to hack it up yourself. just to give you an idea:

1. sand off all surface rust
2. inspect and patch and weld any scrap metal as needed
3. apply rust treatment
4. apply body filler
5. sand body filler smooth
6. apply primer
7. sand sand sand primer
8. apply paint
9. apply clear
10. wet sand, wet sand
11. buff

that goes for every spec of rust. body shops do this every hour of every day and they can do this job quite easily and will give professional results. if you have a job like me, even a weekend wont suffice. and with something like rust, it's always good to have it done right before it creeps back up.

if you are patient and have lots and lots of time to kill, im sure you can do a great job... but in most cases it will be worth while to pay $200-$300 to treat rust the right way. also, if you're planning on repainting the car, save up $1,000-$1,500 and get a professional repaint at a respectable body shop. they will sand the whole car as well as rust treat every area. ull be killing multiple birds with one stone.

let us know what road youre willing to go.
