sorrry i wasn't specific...thats the only code its throwing and yea vtec doesnt engage and acutally today in the morning the car had trouble starting and when it did start it did a bunch of crazy things it was idling like crazy and very low and it just sounded like it wanted to die but it didnt during this i would give it gas and the rpm seemed to be restrained they didnt want to go up but it went back after a 3 or 4 min it went away and startind idling normal..then im on my way to school i noticed that the rpm doesnt go pass 6k i belive and vtec doesnt enagage..also it idles at 1500 and it use to jjust idle at 1k...sorry but hopefully this makes sense....im kinda new to all this...

Did you also replace the rotor inside the distributor and check the ignition timing?

Do you have an OBDII or OBDI ECU? If you have an OBDII ECU, pull the code with a code reader to see whether P0171 or P0172 is thrown. Many auto parts stores pull OBDII codes free of charge.
