Mugen N1 Valve cover
All Motor , or engine forum..
We dont put that Bling bling on our race cars..
Its a waste of money!
Theres no benefit from the word Mugen on a valve cover.
Not even a 5hp gain...
Decals on the other hand are worth at least 5 hp per on a street car.

I dont care about how much horsepower it makes or bling bling. Im tring to find out when and why it was made. Im olny looking for people who know how to read and what there talking about.
I dont think this was made for a street car. Im thinking someone when to mugen for a motor to use in N1, time attack, or some other form of racing in japan. But before they started making the formula valve cover they modded factory honda covers.

that valve cover I think has been cut up, there is not way to get a gasket to seal all the way around since it is missing the metal to hold the gasket in place near the cam gears
I was half joking with my post, I'm not feeling good and a bit cranky. I would think it was a race only thing as well. Like the B20A motor of F3. But that was dry sump and the cover has no oil cap.
Did you look at it. Its not a stock cover. This is the olny part ive ever bought that i didnt need and for 20 bucks so what it didnt sound over priced then and i bet theres alot of people here that would offer alot more for it.
stock cover yes band saw yes CNC no. The part where it says mugen looks to be stamped or cast theres no machining marks and then the stock cover was cut and had that peice welded in
Why is this still being discussed? You got your answer in another forum apparently so I'm locking this, as it has absolutely nothing to do with any kind of racing, even if it was on a race motor. In the future, this type of thing would belong in Appearance/Cosmetic.
